talking behind the scenes and president obama has already hosted congressional leaders for a post election sit-down. but the president is also launching a new pr effort, a campaign, some are calling it here, starting with the white house meeting today, of small business owners. then tomorrow, the president hosts more business owners and a group of middle class americans who would be hurt if the tax hikes take effect the first of the year. then friday, a campaign style stop in pennsylvania, a toy factory of all places, highlighting the importance of middle class consumers in this holiday season. but back in washington, senate leaders, they are speaking out. you have democrat harry reid saying the president won the election. and it is time for republicans to fall in line. meantime, republican mitch mcconnell not impressed with the president's plans to go back on the road. take a listen. >> look, we already know the president is a very good campaigner, congratulate him on his re-election. what we don't know is whether he has the leadership qualities necessary to lead it a bipartisan agreement

they get re-elected. they're doing a fine job. saxby, lindsey, call me, no pledges for me. i pledge to help you. >> i think they're doing what they should do, which is their job at representing the people. but l.c., let me ask you this. graham has said that he is open to raising more revenue but only if the democrats are willing to make cuts in entitlement program. so seems like a legitimate request. uncht know what i don't get with this whole discussion? two things. the idea that we're not going to raise taxes but we're going to cut deductions or cap them. that's raising taxes. that's moving a shell game around. we're raising revenue through tax raises. doesn't matter what you call them so long as the result is the same. the other thing i don't get is this notion that democrats are the ones that protect entitlements and republicans are ones that are trying to protect businesses or rich people. i think we've got to get past this oversimplification. there's not a republican in office -- maybe you can correct me -- not a republican is saying we need to get rid of entilgtzmentes. they want to

following the election, house speaker john boehner himself came out and said, we're willing to consider revenues as long as it's not done by raising rates. and so in some ways, the republicans have kind of made clear over the last several weeks that they're willing to move away from this pledge, fredricka. >> so does that help make some lawmakers and the administration feel rather optimistic that they will indeed be able to reach a deal in the next few weeks? >> well, certainly everyone's saying that they're optimistic. you'll remember that meeting that congressional leadership had with the president the friday before thanksgiving, leaders from both parties and both chambers met with the president. coming out of that meeting they said lots of positive things, said it was constructive. everyone knows where each side stands. i know we all know there's been work that's being done behind the scenes. the real question is what's going to happen in the immediate future? and also, when is congressional leadership going to meet with the president again? those are the things we're looking out for

after the other right after re-election. first terms are about being re-elected. second terms should be about building a legacy and leaving something behind. i think we should be watching closely what happens with the fiscal cliff. because if they are able -- if republicans in congress and the president are able to get together and actually do something, i think it's a good omen for what's ahead. if they can't, we're in for a touch four years. he'll have a tough time passing his agenda. as americans we should all be rooting for him because we're in this together. there are big hairy problems to tackle. i think it's a good thing what we're hearing right now out of the republican leadership and white house where everyone seems to be holding hands right now singing kumbaya and wanting to get something done. i say we pray for that and see if it actually happens. >> i'm with you. i'm going to drop to my knees right now. third topic. we have to talk about black friday. i wanted to ask both of you, how long do you think it will be until stores open at midnight on christmas day? anna? >> lis
